SPORT AND RECREATION FOR EVERYONE!

Now days, unfortunately, the sport world became a place to vent, discriminate and full of violence and hate. In reality, the real values of sport are others like family, friendship, collaboration, and many others. Is important to remember and share what true sport is telling, examples and real stories to open the eyes of many people as possible. We want to make sport somethings better for the world as it was used to in the past so that everyone can do sport having fun in freedom.

If you search on the internet, you can find countless pictures like these ones. Look at them with attention, did you notice something? They’re just children playing around together. They’re thinking about nothing, these kids are just thinking about having fun together. It doesn’t care the nativity, the skin colour or the language. They are just a group of children connected by the joy to stay together. Many people should learn from them, learn to think in the same way those little kids do. In the world of sport, many lose the real meaning of sport, that is created just to enjoy time with someone. Children are able to think in this way, they are a great example and inspiration for everyone.

MIKE MAIGNAN

Let’s check at a witness made by the goalkeeper of Ac Milan Mike Maignan, a black man who was victim of racist discriminations during a match.

“Sunday evening at the Allianz Stadium some with-black fans targeted me with racist insults and yells. What do you expect me to say? That racism is wrong and those fans are stupid? This isn’t the point. I’m not the first nor the last player who will be affected by this. Until these events are treated like “isolated incidents” and there isn’t any global action, history is destinated to repeat more and more and more.

What do we do to fight the racism in the stadiums? Do we really believe that what we do is useful? I’m part of a Club that is recognised as the leader in the fight against every single discrimination. We have to be more united in this battle against a social problem bigger than football itself.

In the rooms where football is directed, do people inside them know how it feel hearing insults and yells that others gift to us like beasts? Do they know what it feels like for our families and beloved ones, not understanding how it still happens in 2021?

”I’m not a ‘victim’ of racism. I’m Mike, on my feet, black and proud. Until we can use our voice to change things, we’ll do that.”

BUKAYO SAKA

It was an honour to be part of an England squad that leads by example, they are brothers for life and I’m grateful for everything that I learnt from every one of the players and staff who worked so hard. To help that team to reach our first final in 55 years, seeing my family in the crowd, knowing what they’ve given up helping me get there, that meant for everything to me. There are no words to tell you how disappointed I was with the result and my penalty. I really believed we would win this for you. I’m sorry that we couldn’t bring it home for you this year, but I promise you that we will give everything we’ve got to make sure this generation knows how it feels to win.

My reaction post-match said it all, I was hurting so much, and I felt like I’d let you all and my England family down, but I can promise you this… I will not let that moment or the negativity that I’ve received this week break me.

For those who have campaigned on my behalf and sent me heartfelt letters, wished me and my family well. I’m so thankful, this is what football should be about: passion, people of all races, genders, religions, and backgrounds coming together with one shared joy of rollercoaster of football.
